Se not\u00f3 una gran bolsa de aire frente a su boca y nariz. Estaba receptivo pero se mov\u00eda de manera inquieta y descoordinada. La temperatura epitimp\u00e1nica fue de 22,5 \u00b0C. Ten\u00eda bradicardia (35\/min) y se observ\u00f3 bloqueo de rama derecha con ondas de Osborn. Se inici\u00f3 el recalentamiento (1 \u00b0C\/h) con hemodi\u00e1lisis continua; la temperatura central se elev\u00f3 a 29,8 \u00b0C en 4 h. A los 30 \u00b0C recobr\u00f3 el conocimiento. Con el recalentamiento, la frecuencia card\u00edaca aument\u00f3 a 90 latidos por minuto y los cambios del ECG desaparecieron; Se observaron lesiones por fr\u00edo no congelante. Al d\u00eda siguiente, su funci\u00f3n pulmonar se deterior\u00f3: sobrecarga de l\u00edquido de 9 litros desde que se diagnostic\u00f3 el ingreso. Con diuresis espont\u00e1nea, la situaci\u00f3n mejor\u00f3. El d\u00eda 4 el neur\u00f3logo report\u00f3 polineuropat\u00eda sutil en ambas piernas secundaria a hipotermia, sin tendencia a retroceder. Hasta el d\u00eda de hoy, este es el tercer entierro por avalancha cr\u00edtica m\u00e1s largo jam\u00e1s reportado.
