En los \u00faltimos veranos, corredores y senderistas en pa\u00edses como Espa\u00f1a o Francia han sufrido episodios graves de agotamiento t\u00e9rmico e incluso golpes de calor durante pruebas deportivas o excursiones en la monta\u00f1a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El golpe de calor no solo afecta a personas mayores o enfermas: cualquiera que haga actividad f\u00edsica en condiciones de calor extremo est\u00e1 en riesgo. Por eso, si haces senderismo, trail running, ciclismo o cualquier deporte al aire libre, es fundamental que sepas c\u00f3mo prevenirlo y qu\u00e9 hacer si ocurre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aqu\u00ed te compartimos algunas recomendaciones esenciales:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1\ufe0f\u20e3 Planificaci\u00f3n previa<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2705 Consulta la previsi\u00f3n meteorol\u00f3gica antes de salir. Evita actividades si se esperan temperaturas superiores a los 30\u202f\u00b0C.<br>\u2705 Evita las horas centrales del d\u00eda (12:00 a 18:00).<br>\u2705 Elige rutas con sombra y lugares donde puedas protegerte e hidratarte.<br>\u2705 Ten en cuenta tu estado f\u00edsico: una noche con poco descanso o un entrenamiento intenso previo aumentan el riesgo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2\ufe0f\u20e3 Vestimenta adecuada<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2705 Usa gorra o sombrero de ala ancha.<br>\u2705 Protege tus ojos con gafas de sol y tu piel con protector solar (reapl\u00edcalo cada 2\u20133 horas).<br>\u2705 Prefiere ropa ligera, de colores claros, transpirable y que cubra brazos y piernas.<br>\u2705 Evita el algod\u00f3n: absorbe el sudor pero no facilita la evaporaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3\ufe0f\u20e3 Hidrataci\u00f3n<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beber con frecuencia es importante, pero no suficiente. Un estudio publicado en 2020 observ\u00f3 a un grupo de senderistas realizando ascensos repetidos en Tempe Butte (Arizona), en condiciones de calor (31\u202f\u00b0C). Los resultados fueron claros:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udd39&nbsp;<strong>Reducci\u00f3n del rendimiento en un 11\u202f%<\/strong><br>\ud83d\udd39&nbsp;<strong>Aumento de la temperatura corporal en 0,7\u202f\u00b0C<\/strong><br>\ud83d\udd39&nbsp;<strong>75\u202f% terminaron deshidratados<\/strong>, incluso habiendo bebido m\u00e1s de 1,5 litros durante la actividad<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc49&nbsp;Estos datos muestran que incluso con cierto nivel de hidrataci\u00f3n, el cuerpo puede perder m\u00e1s l\u00edquidos de los que se reponen, y entrar en estado de deshidrataci\u00f3n en pocas horas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Por eso:<br>\u2705&nbsp;Bebe agua regularmente, antes de tener sed.<br>\u2705&nbsp;Complementa con bebidas isot\u00f3nicas si haces ejercicio prolongado.<br>\u2705&nbsp;Evita el alcohol y las bebidas azucaradas en exceso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4\ufe0f\u20e3 Ajuste de la intensidad<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2705 Reduce la intensidad y duraci\u00f3n de tus actividades durante olas de calor.<br>\u2705 Haz descansos frecuentes en zonas con sombra.<br>\u2705 Escucha a tu cuerpo: si sientes mareo, fatiga excesiva o dolor de cabeza, detente, hidr\u00e1tate y refr\u00e9scate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5\ufe0f\u20e3 Prevenci\u00f3n del golpe de calor<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2705 Aprende a reconocer los s\u00edntomas iniciales: sed intensa, mareo, calambres, cansancio extremo.<br>\u2705 Si aparecen confusi\u00f3n, desorientaci\u00f3n, alucinaciones o alteraci\u00f3n de la consciencia, se trata de una emergencia m\u00e9dica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6\ufe0f\u20e3 \u00bfQu\u00e9 hacer ante un golpe de calor?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2705 Lleva a la persona a la sombra y qu\u00edtale la ropa innecesaria.<br>\u2705 Comienza a enfriar con agua fr\u00eda y abanicos (convecci\u00f3n).<br>\u2705 Si puedes, sumerge a la persona en agua fr\u00eda o aplica compresas fr\u00edas en axilas e ingles.<br>\u2705 Llama a emergencias de inmediato.<br>\u2705 Evita que camine si est\u00e1 mareada o desorientada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7\ufe0f\u20e3 Factores de riesgo que aumentan la vulnerabilidad<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022\u2060 \u2060Deshidrataci\u00f3n previa<br>\u2022\u2060 \u2060Sobrepeso<br>\u2022\u2060 \u2060F\u00e1rmacos que afectan la regulaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica<br>\u2022\u2060 \u2060Falta de aclimataci\u00f3n al calor<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcac\u00a0<strong>Consejo final:<\/strong>\u00a0Aunque est\u00e9s en forma, el calor extremo puede afectar tu rendimiento y ponerte en riesgo.
